We are heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Filipino community during this unimaginable time of grief.

We are heartbroken by the tragic events that unfolded at the Lapu Lapu Day Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia. Our deepest condolences go out to the victims, their loved ones, and the entire Filipino community during this unimaginable time of grief.

The Filipino community holds a special place in our hearts at Remitly. We were honored to sponsor the festival as a day of celebration of culture, heritage, and community. In the wake of this tragedy, we are offering  support in every way we can. As part of that commitment, we are making a direct donation of $10,000 USD to support the community.

  • Blood Donation – If able, consider donating blood to support those in need: blood.ca/en

 

We will continue to coordinate with the festival organizers and local authorities to identify additional ways we can help.
